Susan Dignall
Lost in this forest 29th August 1975. Having visited the forest with her brother, Ian, she claimed she could hear a strange music and left the path. Despite his best efforts, Ian could not keep up and soon lost sight of her. While the police later conducted a thorough search of the forest, no trace of Ms. Dignall was ever found.
When the actions of local serial killer Robert Thatcher came to light in the early 80s, it was posited that Ms. Dignall had been another of his victims. There is however no conclusive proof to support this theory. It is perhaps notable that while Thatcher had no qualms in identifying his victims upon arrest, he never included Susan Dignall in the list he gave his interrogators.
